To honor volunteers whose contributions help, improve the quality of life locally, Worcester residents are invited to nominate individuals, organizations, and businesses for the Volunteer Spirit of Worcester County awards. The nomination period is open April 1 – May 31, at 4:30 p.m.

Nominations for the Volunteer Spirit of Worcester County awards are currently being accepted by Worcester County Volunteer Connection on behalf of Worcester County Commissioners. The awards recognize Worcester residents who have provided significant volunteer contributions in Worcester County. This year, the awards will represent outstanding service occurring in June 2022 – May 2023 (or longer for the lifetime achievement award). Nominations will be accepted with a winner chosen from each of the following 8 categories: individual, emerging leader, group/team, non-profit volunteer program, faith-based, local business, veteran, and lifetime achievement. Applications are being accepted from June 6, 2023 – August 25, 2023.
